
Matteo is currently part of the finance leadership team at Laurentian Bank of Canada, where he helps drive the Bank’s strategic financial analysis, reporting and disclosure, and capital markets accounting. Laurentian Bank is a full-service financial institution with operations across Canada and the United States, providing innovative banking and investment solutions to individuals and businesses. Alongside his role at the Bank, Matteo serves as an Adjunct Professor of Accountancy at Concordia University, where he teaches courses in strategic managerial accounting and financial reporting as part of the University’s MBA program. Matteo also serves on the Government of Canada's Sustainable Finance Action Council, helping provide oversight and strategic input to strengthen Canada's sustainable finance framework through enhanced disclosure, taxonomy, and climate risk management practices.
Matteo previously worked with Fiera Comox Partners, an alternative investment firm specializing in private equity, agriculture, timberland, and private credit, where he held a range of strategic roles across investor relations and corporate finance and administration. He began his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), auditing institutional investment funds, real estate, and asset & wealth management clients, including private equity, hedge funds, insurance, and pension funds.
