David Russell – Operating Advisor

David is currently Chair of the Transition Pathways Initiative (TPI), which is supported by over 150 investors with more than $80 trillion in assets under management and advice, and provides academically robust and independent assessments of how companies, banks and countries are transitioning in line with the Paris Agreement. David is also a Board member of the UK Sustainable Investment and Finance Association (UKSIF).

David previously spent 22 years as Head of Responsible Investment at the Universities Superannuation Scheme (USS), the UK’s largest pension fund. David has also served on the Boards of the Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI), the Institutional Investors Group on Climate Change (IIGCC), the International Centre for Pensions Management (ICPM), and the Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark (GRESB).
